My name is Tanya Campbell. I am a wife and mother of 2 young, energetic boys, Jack 5, and Richard 4. I have spent the last 4 years researching the dangers of our nations food supply, mostly in an effort to remove those dangers from my family's diet. What I have learned along the way is startling, disappointing, confusing and quite frankly, disgusting!
My families personal diet has evolved over the last 4 years to an organic diet, whether that be organically grown by my local farmer or the USDA's approved organic standards. The only exception is our beef, which is strictly grass fed by my farmer. This diet is far from the norm in southern Louisiana, which is entrenched in true southern cooking, but a lifestyle that has brought overall improved health to our life and has established healthy eating habits for my children.
It has also encouraged me to practice natural medicine, remove the chemicals from my home along with the chemically produced self care products that we use on a regular basis, thus resulting in a "green" lifestyle that is not only good for my family, but also helping us to leave very little of our footprints on this planet. From recycling to purchasing organic foods, you too can become "green".
The goal of my website is to provide a One Stop Shop for locating organic foods in Lafayette, as well as to provide the contacts that I have pieced together, like a puzzle over the last 4 years which has resulted in my family's ability to "go green".
